Smart Criminal Justice: The Smart Police Station as a Model for Legal Innovation

Abstract

This study critically examined Smart Police Stations (SPS) in the Gulf and Europe. The methodological and cross-jurisdictional approach examined the policy and protection of SPS systems with rights using policy documents, legislation, and performance material of the acquired success. The results show that Gulf countries have done well in digital policing, efficacy, and institution integration. These triumphs were achieved by navigating a range of evolving legal and ethical challenges, particularly regarding privacy and responsibility issues. Europeans legally established principles based on openness, equity, and procedural justice to model ethical technology use. This is extrapolationally difficult to other regions and does not indicate local suitability without contextual adaptation.
